Solid Waste Department
It is the mission of the Solid Waste Department to provide the residential and commercial community reliable, convenient, and cost effective trash removal services and to maintain the voluntary recycling program to Craig and Moffat County residents.
The Solid Waste Department:
- Operates as an Enterprise Fund where Enterprise funds are used to account for operations that are financed and operated in a manner similar to private business enterprise. Services provided by these funds are intended to be predominately self-supporting through user charges. All activities necessary to provide services are accounted for in this fund including operations, maintenance, financing and related debt service,
- Maintains appearance and condition of containers and replaces, if necessary.
- Coordinates with Moffat County for Craig Clean-Up Days for the collection of used tires and old appliances.
- Support and maintain the voluntary recycling program.
